Outlet & Switch Repair and Installation
Power exactly where you need it.
Adding a new outlet on an existing circuit in Central Texas typically costs $150–$400; replacing a device with a GFCI, USB-C or smart switch is usually $125–$250. Kitchens, bathrooms, garages, laundry areas and exteriors require GFCI protection under current code.
Not enough outlets, two-prong outlets that won't take modern plugs, a kitchen without GFCI protection: these are small problems with real safety implications. We repair, replace and add outlets and switches throughout the home, matched to your décor and to code.

Outlets & Switches FAQ
Can you add an outlet without running a new circuit?
Often, yes. If an existing circuit has capacity and is nearby, we can extend it. High-draw locations (kitchen counters, home offices with heavy equipment, freezers) are better on a dedicated circuit.
Where are GFCI outlets required?
Current code requires GFCI protection in bathrooms, kitchens (all receptacles), garages, outdoors, laundry areas, unfinished basements, crawl spaces, and within 6 feet of sinks, among other places.
Is it safe to replace two-prong outlets with three-prong?
Only if there's a ground wire present, or if the outlet is protected by a GFCI and labeled 'No Equipment Ground.' We'll check what's in the box and give you the code-compliant option.
